I’ve been riding since I was 5 years old. Started in the Hunter Jumper arena as a kid, then moved to Evented in college. I discovered Dressage and my love of it while Eventing. After graduating the University of South Carolina in 1994 I decided to dedicate my study to Dressage. I started my Dressage career riding a morgan gelding, Shadow Dancer. While my morgan tried his heart out he struggled for decent scores compared to the warmbloods. I decided I loved this sport and wanted to be competitive as possible. I went looking for my first warmblood and found holsteiner mare, Panterra. I trained her from an unbroken 2-year old to Prix St George. We attained both USDF Bronze and Silver medals.
I bred Panterra to Raymeister, a holsteiner stallion who has won 7 USDF Horse of the Year Titles, 13 All Breed Titles and 8 Regional Championships. He was also successfully shown by a Young Rider to win Young Rider Individual Gold at the Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships. Aerosa is their daughter. She has had a strong career in the show arena so far earning scores in the 70's in both Training level and First level. in 2012 she was awarded Reserve Champion in Training level with the American Holsteiner Association. She has gaits that are International in quality and I’m excited to see where this young horse is able to take me.
In 2004 I began teaching and training professionally. I have had the privilege of working with an assortment of horses; morgans, draft crosses, thoroughbreds, OTTB, oldenburg, trakhner, hannoverians, irish sporthorse, holsteiner, paints, quarterhorses, and many, many more!
My education includes working with the following wonderful instructors; Axel Steiner, Linda Zang, Natalie Lamping, Tom Noone, Stacy Larsson, Jill Hardt
